Cross-Party Groups

Following the election, Cross-Party Groups may register from 1 July 2026. Further information will be communicated with Members about the process for registration ahead of this date. You are welcome to contact the Table Office at TableOffice@senedd.wales should you wish to discuss any matters relating to the rules on Cross-Party Groups.

Cross-Party Groups may be set up by Members of the Senedd in respect of any subject area relevant to the Senedd.

A group must include Members from three political party groups represented within the Senedd. Cross-Party Groups are not formal Senedd groupings and are not, therefore, bound by any of the Senedd's Standing Orders. They have no formal role in policy development.
