Legislative Consent: Data (Use and Access) Bill

Minutes:

6.1 The Committee considered the Legislative Consent Memorandum legal advice note and briefing.

6.2 The Committee agreed to write to Welsh Government for further information, following the Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and Planning’s upcoming appearance before the Legislation, Justice and Constitution Committee on the issue on 3 February 2025, before reporting.

Welsh Government's International Strategy: Consideration of consultation responses and next steps

Minutes:

7.1 The Committee reviewed the public consultation responses received, and agreed to move forward with oral evidence sessions following publication of the Welsh Government’s anticipated International Strategy Delivery Plan.

Cymraeg for all?: Consideration of approach to citizen engagement

Minutes:

8.1 The Committee heard proposals for engagement work related to the new inquiry ‘Cymraeg for all?’, and discussed the remit of the new inquiry.

8.2 The Committee agreed to revisit this topic at its next meeting, following further discussions between the Chair and the clerking team.
