Climate change is an overarching strategic priority for the Climate Change, Environment, and Infrastructure Committee (“the Committee”). This work encompasses:

Correspondence

On 11 January 2023, ahead of the Ministerial scrutiny session planned for the Spring term, the Chair wrote to the Minister for Climate Change (PDF 194KB) in relation to progress towards delivery of climate change commitments.

On 18 November 2022, the Chair wrote to the Minister for Climate Change (PDF 160KB) in relation to climate adaptation and carbon budgets, and the Minister responded to the Chair’s letter (PDF 163KB) on 9 December 2022.

Draft Strategy for Public Engagement & Action on Climate Change (2022-2026): the Minister for Climate Change wrote to the Chair (PDF 89KB) on 20 October in relation to the publication of the draft strategy.
