Claire Bennett, Deputy Director Transport Policy, planning and Partnerships 5.2 The Minister for Economy, Science and Transport agreed
to: - Share the recommendations of the Bus Advisory Group; - Consider whether the Community Transport Association should
be involved in the Bus Advisory Group; - Provide a note on the Welsh Government approval process for
the decision on concessionary fares and how advice was provided to the
Minister; - Provide a note on how Welsh demographic projections were
considered in setting concessionary fares funding levels over the next three
years given funding reductions in each year of the agreement; - Provide an update on the development of plans for young
persons’ concessionary travel; - Provide a note on the approach to financing south Wales
electrification set out in the Welsh Government’s final outline business case
for Valleys electrification, including section 6 of the May 2012 Outline
Business Case, and if possible including the figures redacted from the business
case; - Provide a note on discussions regarding north Wales
electrification and wider related transport issues; - Provide an update on dualling work to connect the North
Wales Mainline to Liverpool and Manchester. |
