Management of Chronic Conditions

The Wales Audit Office published its report on ‘The Management of Chronic Conditions in Wales – An Update’ in March 2014. The report related to the growing challenge to health and social services in Wales arising from Chronic Conditions.  The report noted that an estimated 800,000 people report having at least one chronic condition. The prevalence of such conditions increase with age and as more people live longer the impact on the health system is likely to increase. The Committee dealt with issues raised in the report through correspondence.
