Cardiff Airport - The Fourth Assembly

Cardiff Airport - The Fourth Assembly

The Enterprise and Business Committee published a Report on International Connectivity through Welsh ports and Airports in July 2012. The Committee scrutinised the First Minister on 30 January 2013 on the Cardiff Airport Task Force and the Minister for Economy, Science and Transport on plans for Cardiff Airport on 20 March 2014.

The Public Accounts Committee undertook an inquiry into the Welsh Government’s acquisition and ownership of Cardiff Airport following publication of the Auditor General for Wales report (27 January 2016). The Committee published its report into The Welsh Government’s acquisition and ownership of Cardiff Airport (PDF 458KB) in March 2016.

The Welsh Government had not responded to the recommendations contained in the Committee’s Report at the end of the Fourth Assembly. The Committee recommended in its Legacy Report, that its successor Committee considers the Welsh Government response when available early in the Fifth Assembly and seeks an update on the implementation of the recommendations in autumn 2016.
