Proposals for legislation on the regulation and inspection of care and support
The
Welsh Government issued a consultation on 30 September 2013 to seek views on
its proposals for legislation to enable a model of care and support based on
the idea of well-being and improved outcomes for citizens, whilst ensuring that
quality standards are being met by service providers and the workforce. The
consultation closed on 6 January 2014. More information about the Welsh

The
National Assembly for Wales’ Health
and Social Care Committee received a factual briefing from Welsh Government
officials on 7
November 2013 to provide an overview of the White Paper on the Future of
Regulation and Inspection of Care and Support in Wales, the strategy of the
consultation and timeline for the next steps.
