Questions to the Minister for Local Government and Government Business
Assembly Members (AMs) may ask Oral Assembly Questions to
Welsh Ministers about any matter falling within their areas of responsibility.
Welsh Ministers answers questions once every four weeks that
the Assembly meets in Plenary. Oral questions are answered during a designated
Question Time in Plenary.
The Presiding Officer conducts a ballot to determine the
names of Members who may table questions. Each Member may enter their name into
a ballot.
The Member selected must then table their oral question at
least five days before the question is due to be answered. A computer randomly
selects the order in which the questions are to be asked in Plenary.
