P-04-427: A new Welsh language law for Wales
P-04-427: A new Welsh language law for Wales
Petition wording:
We call on the
Welsh Assembly to create a new Welsh language law as we feel that the current
laws regarding the Welsh language do not go far enough to protect the rights of
Welsh speakers. Currently, the private
sector is not required to have Welsh language plans or policies and does not
have to treat the Welsh language as an equal to English. Whilst Welsh speakers have increased rights,
they now need to have the right to be able to use Welsh in ALL aspects of their
daily lives.
