Limited review of the Consolidation Bill procedures

In September 2023, the Legislation, Justice and Constitution Committee wrote to the Business Committee to draw its attention to a small number of procedural issues it had observed during its consideration of the first Senedd Consolidation Bill.

The Business Committee subsequently agreed to conduct a limited review of the specific Standing Orders commented on by the Legislation, Justice and Constitution Committee, which resulted in a report that recommended amendments to Standing Orders.

The report was laid on 24 January and agreed by the Senedd on 31 January 2024.

The Business Committee will conduct a full review of Standing Order 26C at a later point during this Senedd.
