The Economy, Trade, and Rural Affairs Committee has been set up by the Senedd to look at policy and legislation, and to hold the Welsh Government to account in specific areas. These areas include business, economic development, skills, international trade, agriculture, fisheries and food.

The Committee agreed to undertake a one-day exploratory inquiry into Manufacturing in Wales.

The Committee took oral evidence from stakeholders on 8 June 2023.

The Inquiry looked at the manufacturing sector in general, and in particular, looked at the activities of the Welsh Government since publishing the manufacturing action plan in Feb 2021.
