The Climate Change,
Environment and Infrastructure Committee held a short inquiry on the Welsh
Government’s electric
vehicle charging strategy.
Report: The Committee published its report: The Welsh Government’s EV charging infrastructure strategy and action plan (PDF 1.2MB) on 28 March 2023.
Welsh Government response: On the 17 May 2023 the Committee received a response (PDF 340KB) to the report from the Welsh Government and an additional response (PDF236KB) on 25 January 2024.
Plenary debate: A debate took place in Plenary on 7 June 2023.
Background
The Climate Change, Environment and Infrastructure Committee considered the Welsh Government’s electric vehicle charging strategy. In particular, the Committee was keen to hear views on progress against each of the nine actions included in the action plan that was published in October 2021.
Evidence gathering
The Committee launched a targeted call for written evidence on 18 November 2022. All the responses have been published on our consultation page.
The Committee held oral evidence sessions with stakeholders on 12 January 2023. More information on the evidence sessions can be found under the meetings tab at the top of the page.
