Legislative Consent: Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Bill
The Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Bill (the Bill) was introduced in the House of Commons on 22 September 2022.
The long title to the Bill notes that it is a Bill “to make provision about economic crime and corporate transparency; to make further provision about companies, limited partnerships and other kinds of corporate entity; and to make provision about the registration of overseas entities..”
The Bill is subject to the
legislative consent process under Standing Order 29
(PDF 599KB). This is when the consent of the Welsh Parliament is sought by the
UK Government to legislate on an issue which falls within the competence of the Senedd.
