The UK Infrastructure Bank Bill (the Bill) was introduced in the House of Lords on 11 May 2022

The long title to the Bill notes that it is a Bill “to make provision about the UK Infrastructure Bank”

The Bill is subject to the legislative consent process under Standing Order 29 (PDF 599KB). This is when the consent of the Welsh Parliament is sought by the UK Government to legislate on an issue which falls  within the competence of the Senedd.

Supplementary Legislative Consent Memorandum – July 2022

On 08 July 2022 the Welsh Government laid a Supplementary LCM (PDF 164 KB)

The Business Committee agreed (PDF 39.1KB) that the Supplementary Legislative Consent Memorandum on the UK Infrastructure Bank Bill will be considered and reported on, to the Senedd, by 17 November 2022.

Legislative Consent Memorandum – May 2022

The Welsh Government laid a Legislative Consent Memorandum (LCM)  (PDF 171 KB) on the Bill before the Senedd on 25 May 2022.

The Business Committee referred the LCM to the Economy, Trade and Rural Affairs Committee, the Finance Committee, the Climate Change, Environment and Infrastructure Committee, and the Legislation, Justice and Constitution Committee with a reporting deadline of 29 September 2022 (PDF 45.7KB)

On 12 July 2022, the Business Committee agreed (PDF 46.5KB) a new reporting deadline of 17 November 2022.
