Provisional food compositional standards and labelling common framework
The Health and Social Care Committee is considering the provisional common framework on food compositional standards and labelling.
The provisional food compositional standards and
labelling common framework
The provisional common framework on food compositional standards and labelling was published in February 2022. It sets out how the UK Government and devolved governments will work together in relation to food compositional standards and labelling policy outside the EU.
On 18 March 2022, the Health and Social Care Committee wrote to the Deputy Minister for Mental Health and Wellbeing to seek further information about the framework. After consideration of the response received from the Deputy Minister for Mental Health and Wellbeing, the Committee wrote to the Deputy Minister on 14 June 2022.
Further background information about common frameworks and the Senedd’s scrutiny is available on the common frameworks webpage.
