Text of Petition:                    

Plastic dog waste bags last for centuries and have a large negative impact on the environment. Even when they eventually break down, they remain as toxic micro plastics, threatening wildlife and human health.

Status

This petition was considered completed by the Petitions Committee at its meeting on 21/03/2022.

The Committee considered the correspondence received and accepted the Welsh Government’s approach to tackle the issue as part of their approach to reduce littering, therefore, the Committee agreed to thank the petitioner and closed the petition.
