Welsh Government Public Bodies Unit (PBU)
The Public Accounts and Public Administration Committee scrutinised the work of the Welsh Government’s Public Bodies Unit, its terms of reference and the scope of the bodies its remit covers with the Permanent Secretary on 26 January 2022.
The Committee scrutinised
the Welsh Government on its Tailored Review Programme, including the Final
Report of the Tailored Review Panel Amgueddfa Cymru-Museum Wales. Matters
relating to Amgueddfa Cymru were later considered as part of separate work to
consider the findings of the Auditor General for Wales' Public Interest Report
on 'Governance arrangements relating to an employment dispute at Amgueddfa
Cymru. This work also focused on some general issues relating to the Welsh
Government's Tailored Review Process.
Wider issues relating to
the role of the PBU in Public Appointments in Wales were considered by the
Committee as part of its inquiry into Public Appointments in Wales. The
Committee has now concluded its consideration of this area of work.
