In October 2021, the Welsh Government published its Health and Social Care Winter Plan for 2021-22.

The Health and Social Care Committee is holding a short inquiry into the Welsh Government’s winter plan, to look in particular at:

• how well services are coping, including any particular pressure points and areas of concern as we move further into winter;
• the effectiveness of this year’s approach to winter planning; and
• any lessons to be learned for next winter.

Work undertaken to date:

-         On 10 February 2022, the Committee held a scrutiny session with the Minister for Health and Social Services on the Welsh Government’s Health and Social Care Winter Plan 2021 to 2022.
