Questions to the First Minister
Members
of the Senedd may ask Oral Questions to the First Minister about any matter
falling within their areas of responsibility.
The
First Minister usually answers questions in Plenary
at 13:30 on a Tuesday.
The
Table Office
conducts a ballot to determine the names of Members who may table questions.
Any Member, except party leaders, may enter their name into a ballot.
The
Members selected must table their oral question at least five days before the
question is due to be answered. A computer randomly selects the order in which
the questions are to be asked in Plenary.
Opposition
party leaders will be called to ask questions without notice to the First
Minister during the item, usually after question 2.
