90 Second Statements
Following questions in Plenary on
Wednesday, Members may make a short statement lasting no more than 90 seconds.
Statements must be brief and factual, and they are not subject to debate.
They can be used to raise any subject of concern.
For example, a Member may raise matters of pressing concern to their
constituents, draw attention to local issues, mark anniversaries or significant
dates, or pay a tribute.
The agenda item is allocated 5 minutes in total. This allows a maximum of 3 Members to make statements each week, which are selected beforehand by the Llywydd.
