P-05-977 Re-open
full general dental services in Wales as has happened in England
This
petition was submitted by Andrew Bartley having collected a total of 7,583
signatures.
Text of Petition:
On March 23rd general
dental services were closed for all except advice, antibiotics, pain killers
and simplel extractions.
On June 8th 2020 English
practices were allowed to re open and the level of service was based on their
ability to comply with safe operating protocols.
Welsh patients and
dentists are denied this opportunity, with estimated "normal" service
in January 2021
Patients are being denied
access to appropriate treatment in Wales. This is discrimination and must stop.
Additional Information:
Dental practices can and
will be as safe as possible. They are also huge financial strain which may
result in many having to close resulting in even worse access issues.
