Impact of the Covid-19 outbreak on the agriculture and fisheries sectors, food supply, animal welfare, climate change and the environment.
The Climate Change, Environment and Rural Affairs Committee (‘the Committee’) undertook a consultation on the impact of the Covid-19 outbreak on the agriculture and fisheries sectors, food supply, animal welfare, climate change and the environment.
The Committee examined the response by the Welsh Government
and relevant public bodies, and considered the impact on relevant sectors and
professions. The Wales response in the wider UK context was also considered.
- the
scale and impact of the pandemic on the sectors;
- how
Welsh Government action helped to combat the impact of the pandemic;
- what
further steps the Welsh Government should take;
- any
other areas within our remit stakeholders wished to draw to our attention.
Evidence Gathering
The Committee received written evidence
from stakeholders and these have been published.
The Committee held a number of evidence
sessions to inform its work, which can be viewed in the table below.
