Text of Petition                                

​We call on the Welsh Government to provide Agriculture and Countryside Studies in our schools.

Additional Information

It is important that young people learn how the process of producing food works and learn about the relationship between Food and Agriculture. It is also important that they learn about the basic skills involved in producing our food products. This will also promote respect and understanding of the work of farmers. 

Status

This petition was considered completed by the Petitions Committee at its meeting on 29/09/2020.

The Committee noted the Minister’s responses on this petition and agreed to close the petition, given the lack of contact received from the petitioner and the scrutiny work being carried out into the Curriculum and Assessment (Wales) Bill and the Children, Young People and Education Committee.
