The Fourth Assembly Public Accounts Committee undertook an inquiry into the Regeneration Investment Fund for Wales (RIFW) following publication of the Auditor General for Wales report into the sale of publicly-owned land and property assets by the RIFW (15 July 2015).

The Committee published its report on its inquiry into RIFW (PDF, 555KB) in January 2016. The Welsh Government response (PDF 161KB) was laid on 8 March 2016 and a plenary debate followed on 16 March 2016.

The Committee recommended in its Legacy Report, that its successor Committee reflects on the findings from the inquiry and monitors the implementation of the recommendations by the Welsh Government.

The Welsh Government wrote to the Committee in November 2020 advising that they had reached a settlement in relation to the legal action initiated with respect to the Regeneration Investment Fund for Wales.
