Legislative Consent: Assaults on Emergency Workers (Offences) Bill

This is a matter where the consent of the National Assembly for Wales is sought by the UK Government to legislate on an issue which could normally fall within the competence of the Assembly.

 

On 12 December 2017, the Business Committee referred a Legislative Consent Memorandum to the Equality, Local Government and Communities Committee and the Health, Social Care and Sport Committee for consideration. In referring the LCM, the Business Committee set a reporting deadline of 22 February 2018.

 

The Health, Social Care and Sport Committee published its report (PDF, 164KB) on the LCM on 18 January 2018.

 

The Equality, Local Government and Communities Committee published its report (PDF, 121KB) on the LCM on 12 February 2018.

 

The Senedd voted to give consent to the Bill on 27 February 2018.
