NDM6578 Debate: Entrepreneurship: A National Imperative

To
propose that the National Assembly for Wales:
Recognises
that entrepreneurship and small and medium-sized enterprises are imperative to
Wales in creating better jobs and supporting investment and that the Welsh
Government, in partnership with stakeholders, has a key role to play to create
the right environment and support infrastructure.
The
following amendment has been tabled:

Add
as new points at end of motion:
Calls
on the Welsh Government to invest in a network of entrepreneurial hubs in every
part of Wales.
Proposes
that additional financial transaction funds allocated to Wales by the UK
Government are used to create a new SME investment fund for the Development
Bank of Wales.
Calls
on the Welsh Government to establish a dedicated national innovation body, as a
partnership between business, government and academia, to drive up levels of
new product development.
