Inquiry into the draft legislative proposals EU Structural Funds for 2014-2020

The Enterprise and Business Committee held an inquiry into the Draft Legislative Proposals on EU Structural Funds for 2014 – 2020

 

Terms of reference:

  • to assess the potential impact of the European Commission’s draft legislative proposals for the future EU Structural Funds (2014-2020) on Wales and to identify any particular positive and negative aspects of these proposals to Wales;
  • to make recommendations to the Welsh Government on what it should prioritise in seeking to shape the UK Government position in the Council of Ministers;
  • to influence the negotiations in Brussels on the draft legislative proposals for the future EU Structural Funds, in particular through the European Parliament (potentially through proposing amendments to the draft legislative proposals).

 

The Committee was interested in:

 

  • what the European Commission’s proposals could mean for Wales;
  • what the Welsh Government’s priorities should be in its negotiations to ensure a beneficial outcome for Wales;
  • how Wales could ensure that its views inform the negotiation process.
