National Framework for Continuing NHS Healthcare

The previous Committee undertook an inquiry into unscheduled care and published two reports in 2013 and 2015 and continued to track progress in this area.

The Committee considered an update from the Welsh Government in autumn 2016 on action taken to discharge the previous Committee’s recommendations on continuing NHS healthcare and receive an update on the latest position regarding processing of retrospective claims.

Members noted the update and that the Auditor General for Wales will look at how each health board is managing claims when repatriated from Powys during his annual health board reviews.
