P-05-692 Build an International Mother languages Monument at Cardiff Bay
This petition was submitted by Mohammed Sarul Islam, having collected 16 signatures.
We the undersigned call on the National Assembly of Wales to urge the Welsh Government to build an International Language monument at Cardiff Bay for all International mother languages lovers.
A plaque has been laid by Cardiff Lord Mayor in 2012 at Grange moor Park, Cardiff Bay. But due to lack of funding not constructed.
This petition was considered completed by the Petitions Committee at its meeting on 19/09/2017.
The Committee considered correspondence from the Cabinet Secretary for Economy and Infrastructure together with further comments from the petitioner and agreed, given that there is no Government funding available to build the monument, to close the petition. In doing so, Members wished to draw the petitioner’s attention to the Research Brief, which identifies organisations and charities who may be able to help with the campaign.
It was first considered by the Petitions Committee on 12/07/2016.
