General scrutiny session with the Chief Nursing Officer
The Health
and Social Care Committee undertook periodic scrutiny of the Chief Nursing
Officer for Wales.
The Chief Nursing Officer for Wales is the head
of the Nursing and Midwifery professions in NHS Wales and is responsible for:
- the
professional performance and development of Nurse Directors and the
nursing profession;
- providing
expert professional contribution on nursing, midwifery and specialist community
public health nursing matters to the Welsh Government.
