The Welsh Government issued a consultation on 12 March 2012 to seek views on its proposals for legislation to take forward the change programme outlined in the Welsh Government’s White Paper, 'Sustainable Social Services for Wales: A Framework for Action'. The consultation closed on 1 June 2012. More information about the Welsh Government’s consultation is available on its website.

 

The National Assembly for Wales’ Health and Social Care Committee received a factual briefing from Welsh Government officials on 16 May 2012 to provide an overview of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Bill, the strategy of the consultation and timeline for the next steps.
