European Commission Work Programme 2016

The European Commission’s annual work programmes set out the priority areas for action for each year, detailing planned legislative and non-legislative proposals, as well as areas that will be reviewed as part of the REFIT (Regulatory Fitness) exercise that aims to improve the effectiveness of existing legislation. It also includes details on EU legislation that will be repealed during 2016, as well as including a list of legislation that will come into force during 2016.

Each Committee of the National Assembly for Wales considered the European Commission Work Programme 2016 in regards to its relevance to the work of their committee. The European Commission Work Programme 2016 was published on 27 October 2015.
