The Draft Additional Learning Needs and Education Tribunal (Wales) Bill
In July 2015 the government published the draft Additional Learning Needs and Education Tribunal (Wales) Bill for consultation. In September 2015 the government published an initial working draft of a proposed Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Code and an outline plan for implementation of the proposed new ALN system. The government is consulting on the draft Bill with a view to bring forward the proposed Bill during the 5th Assembly.
The following article provides a simple guide to the provisions and background of the draft Bill.
The Children, Young People and Education Committee issued a call for evidence, and undertook an inquiry.
