Purpose of the consultation
In January 2016, the Communities, Equality and Local Government Committee scrutinised Ministers on the Welsh Government’s draft budget proposals 2016-17 which were relevant to the Committee’s remit.
The Committee wrote to each Minister requesting information in advance of these meetings. Copies of these letters, along with the Ministers’ responses, can be found below.

Following scrutiny of the budget proposals, the Committee wrote to each Minister with its conclusions. These letters can also be found below.
The Finance Committee ran a public consultation, seeking information to inform their scrutiny of the Welsh Government’s 2016-17 draft budget proposals. Responses to their consultation are also relevant to our scrutiny.
