EVENT: The Silent Village - A special screening and discussion to mark Refugee Week

Description: To mark Refugee Week we will screen the 1943 drama documentary film The Silent Village. Where director Humphrey Jennings spent months living amongst the people of Cwmgiedd in the Swansea Valley to produce this unforgettable short film. Retelling the true story of the massacre of the Czec village of Lidice by the Nazis as if it happened in Wales. There will be a short talk about the film, what has happened in the years since and the continued link between the two villages. Closing with comment on today's refugee situation and some live music from current refugees here in Wales.

Open to the public: Attendance at the event is by invitation only however the Senedd and the Pierhead will remain accessible to the public during our normal opening hours.
