EVENT: Welsh Budget Outlook 2022: Breakfast Briefing
Date: Monday 5 December 2022
Time: 09.00 - 10.00
Description: At a time of unparalleled uncertainty, the economic and fiscal outlook for Wales have become much gloomier. As well as squeezing household budgets and livings standards, higher inflation has eroded the real-terms value of the Welsh Government’s budget, with the prospect of further spending cuts to come. As the path of UK government’s fiscal policy becomes clearer, the Welsh Government faces difficult choices on public spending and devolved taxes. Ahead of the Welsh Government’s Draft Budget for 2023-24, join the Wales Fiscal Analysis (WFA) team for a discussion of a new briefing report on the outlook for the Welsh Budget and the challenges ahead.
Open to the public: Attendance at the event is by invitation only however the Senedd and the Pierhead will remain accessible to the public during our normal opening hours.
