Description: Airbus: The Beating Heart of Wales' Economy. Broughton is the jewel in Airbus UK’s industrial crown. We are proud that the world flies on Welsh Wings and want to share with Senedd Members our contributions to Wales' economy. As one of the largest employers in Wales, with over 4,500 high value engineers and operators based at Broughton and 500 Cyber Security specialists in Newport, Airbus spends over £148M per annum across the Welsh supply chain and supports 14,300 Welsh jobs. Through the lens of a recent economic impact assessment conducted by Oxford Economics, we look forward to sharing this evening together to discuss our ongoing commitments to elevating opportunities within Wales.
