Description: The Hamlyn lectures are a renowned series in the Legal world. This is evident from the names of the lecturers since the first one in 1949 when Lord Denning was the lecturer. More information on the Hamlyn Trust can be found at: http://socialsciences.exeter.ac.uk/law/hamlyn/. This year's lecturer was Eleanor Sharpston QC. In 2021 the lecturer will be Lord Pannick QC. So the success of the series has been guaranteed. The last time one of Hamlyn lecture series was held in Cardiff was in 2016 when the lecturer was Dame Sian Elias, Chief Justice of New Zealand. The sponsor on that occasion was Cardiff University.
