EVENT: Innovation for Active Communities Launch by Leonard Cheshire

Description: What if there was a way that recipients of social care could pool together their direct payments for care? A way that they could enjoy activities as a group rather than on their own, if they chose to? What if there was a way to reduce the cost of care hours? A pioneering new model for public sector spending? That way is Leonard Cheshire’s ‘Innovation for Active Communities’ programme. Following a successful pilot project in Anglesey, the programme is being rolled out across Wales.
