EVENT: ‘Young people and friendships: What matters to us?’

Date: Thursday 24 May 2018

Time: 17.45 - 18.30

Location: Senedd

Description: ‘Young people and friendships: What matters to us?’ C.A.R.P. (Community Action in Research and Policy) Collaborations, a Welsh social enterprise and workers’ cooperative based in Swansea, has been running a very exciting participatory research project. Thanks to funding from the DRILL (Disability Research on Independent Living and Learning) lottery research grant programme, they have trained disabled young people (16- 25) on social research methods. These young peer researchers have led a research project amongst their peers gathering views on how disabled young people can fully participate in society and have meaningful relationships. At the event, they will showcase their findings, including a short film, with the policy makers and political representatives who can make things happen.

Open to the public: The event will take place outside our normal opening hours therefore attendance will be by invitation only
