EVENT: Welsh Revenue Authority Charter consultation event

Date: Tuesday 30 January 2018

Time: 10.00 - 15.00

Location: Oriel, Senedd

Description: The Welsh Revenue Authority (WRA) is asking for your views on its draft Charter. The Welsh Revenue Authority will collect the first taxes in Wales for almost 800 years in April this year. Stamp Duty Land Tax and Landfill Tax will no longer apply in Wales from April 2018 and will be replaced by Land Transaction Tax and Landfill Disposal Tax respectively. The WRAs charter is an important first step in this new organisation relationship with the people of Wales, setting out how the WRA will work with customers. This event is an opportunity for you to meet WRA staff and Board members and tell them what you think and help shape its values to deliver a fair tax system for Wales. The draft Charter has been published on the consultations section of the Welsh Government website along with a response form. Alternatively, contact the WRA directly at haveyoursay@wra.gov.wales The charter will change as a direct result of your feedback, so please take this opportunity to tell us what you think.
