EVENT: Optimising Cancer Outcomes with Prehabilitation: Prudent Healthcare in Practice across Wales

Description: Patients who present with suspected cancer not only present with symptoms of cancer, they also have numerous other health concerns and chronic conditions. These often go undetected and therefore are not addressed at the time of presentation. The notion of addressing these health concerns early is termed Prehabilitation (PREHAB). It is gaining popularity across the world, but is not routinely used in Wales. It is believed PREHAB will contribute to the much needed improvement in cancer survival in Wales by improving the number of eligible patients for curative treatment. This event will showcase our recent work and demonstrate the impact of this work for our patients in Wales.
