Description: The launch of the 2017 Velvet Coalmine Festival in Blackwood that will run over 10 days from September 7th-16th. The festival, sponsored by Blackwood Town Council includes all the schools of Blackwood, Blackwood Little Theatre with the event partner for 2017 is ‘Africa Writes’ The African Literature Festival in London organised by The Royal African Society.
Open to the public: The event will take place outside our normal opening hours therefore attendance will be by invitation only
