<OpeningPara>The Culture, Communications, Welsh Language, Sport, and International Relations Committee has been set up by the Senedd to look at policy and legislation, and to hold the Welsh Government to account in specific areas. These areas include the Welsh Language, culture; the arts; creative industries; historic environment; communications, broadcasting; the media, sport, and international relations.</OpeningPara>

 

<OpeningPara>The Committee has six Members who come from the different parties represented in the Senedd, and is chaired by Delyth Jewell MS.</OpeningPara>

Remit

The Committee was established on 23 June 2021 to examine legislation and hold the Welsh Government to account by scrutinising its expenditure, administration and policy matters, encompassing (but not restricted to): the Welsh Language, culture; the arts; historic environment; communications, broadcasting; the media, sport, and international relations. The Committee may investigate any area of policy from the perspective of the Welsh Language.
