3.1    The Committee received evidence from Jessica Blair and Nia Thomas, Electoral Reform Society, on the topic of Individual Member Accountability.

Motion under Standing Order 17.42 to resolve to exclude the public from the remainder of this meeting

4.1    The motion to exclude the public from the remainder of the meeting under Standing Order 17.42 was agreed.

5.

Cross-Party Groups Compliance Report

Minutes:

5.1    The committee agreed to write to Cross-Party Groups who were warned about compliance last year, advising them that it intends to recommend to the Llywydd that they be deregistered unless they are able to make a case as to why they should be allowed to continue.

 

5.2    The Committee agreed to write to the Chairs of the Cross-Party Groups who do not appear to have been active at all over the last year to confirm their situation and ask for outstanding paperwork.

 

5.3    The committee agreed to write to Cross-Party Groups who are currently without Chairs to remind them of the requirement for a Chair as set out in the rules.

 

5.4 The Committee agreed to write to all Chairs reminding them of the rules on the operation of Cross-Party Groups as well as their responsibilities as Cross-Party Group Chairs.
