Business Committee agreed a revised timetable for Senedd Reform Bill, noting the new deadline for Stage 2 proceedings of 15 March 2024.

The Committee also agreed to table a motion at Stage 2, under Standing Order 26.17(iii), to seek the Senedd’s agreement for Stage 2 proceedings on the Bill to be undertaken by a Committee of the Whole Senedd.

Business Committee agreed to:

• refer the LCM on the Leasehold and Freehold Reform to the Local Government and Housing Committee and the Legislation, Justice and Constitution Committee for scrutiny, with a reporting deadline of 15 March 2024.
• refer the LCM on the Animal Welfare (Livestock Exports) Bill to the Economy, Trade and Rural Affairs Committee and the Legislation, Justice and Constitution Committee for scrutiny, with a reporting deadline of 15 March 2024.

Business Committee agreed to the Petitions Committee’s request to hold a debate on petitions P-06-1359 and P-06-1362 and to schedule the debate on 31 January 2024.
