The Llywydd drew Business Managers’ attention to the following changes:

• Questions to the Senedd Commission (30 10 mins)
• Motion to elect a Member to a committee (5 mins)

• Voting Time will take place before the Short Debate.
• Plenary is unlikely to run past 6.55pm. 

There are no changes to the Three Week Timetable of Government Business.

Business Committee agreed to make the following changes:

Wednesday 15 February 2023 –

• Member Debate under Standing Order 11.21(iv) (60 mins)
• Time allocated to the Welsh Conservatives (60 mins) Moved from 8 February
• Time allocated to the Welsh Conservatives (60 mins)
• Short Debate: Russell George (Montgomeryshire) (30 mins) Moved from 8 February
• Short Debate: Sian Gwenllian (Arfon) (30 mins)

Business Committee agreed to refer the Bill to the Health and Social Care Committee for consideration of the general principles. Business Committee agreed to defer a decision on the timetable for the Bill, including the Government’s request for a shortened period for Stage 1 scrutiny, in order to consult the Health and Social Care Committee and to return to the matter at a future meeting.  

Business Committee noted the letter regarding the current status of the Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Bill and the Government’s intention to bring forward a further Supplementary LCM containing all relevant amendments tabled for Report Stage in the House of Commons.

Business Committee considered current practice around the scheduling of debates in opposition time and agreed to consult with groups before returning to the issue at the following meeting.
