Wednesday 26 November 2025

Business Committee noted the following change

  • Questions to the Senedd Commission (30 15 mins)

  • Voting Time will take place before the Short Debate.
  • Plenary is unlikely to run past 6.45pm.

Heledd Fychan and Paul Davies asked when the Statement by the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care on Improving Waiting Times would be rescheduled. The Trefnydd explained that the statement had been postponed due to data quality issues and indicated that it would be rescheduled in early January 2026.

Heledd Fychan questioned whether the 45 minutes allocated to the Statement by the First Minister on the UK Covid-19 Inquiry: Module 2 report would be sufficient given the likely level of interest from Members. The Llywydd indicated that she will consider allowing the item to overrun to ensure that sufficient Members are able to be called.

3.2

Three week timetable of Government Business

Minutes:

The Trefnydd informed Business Managers of the following change to the Three Week Timetable of Government Business:

Tuesday 2 December 2025

·         Statement by the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care: 10 years since organ donation deemed consent (45 mins) – will be issued as a written statement

Heledd Fychan asked why the Statement by the Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care on organ donation would not be an oral statement, given the importance of the issue. The Trefnydd stated that the Cabinet Secretary had indicated that he did not consider there was sufficient substance to warrant an oral statement, noting also the length of scheduled proceedings on 2 December which includes Stage 3 of the Bus Services (Wales) Bill. The Trefnydd indicated that she would discuss the point raised with the Cabinet Secretary.
