This week's business Minutes: Tuesday The Trefnydd informed Business Managers that the statement on
Ill-Health Prevention will now be issued as a written statement and Cabinet
Secretary for Health and Social Care’s Oral Questions on Wednesday will be
answered by the Minister for Children and Social Care and the Minister for
Mental Health and Wellbeing. Business Committee
noted the following change to Tuesday’s business:

The Llywydd informed
Business Managers that she has agreed to a request for a proxy vote for reasons
of long-term illness from Rhianon Passmore MS. The arrangement will be in place
between 10 June 2025 and 30 September 2025 and Jane Hutt MS will hold the proxy
vote. |

Any other business Minutes: Options for future
scrutiny of UK Covid Inquiry reports The Llywydd updated
Business Managers on a discussion with the Chairs’ Forum concerning the
Business Committee’s consideration of options for future scrutiny of UK Covid
Inquiry reports. She also noted that she has written to the Chair of the Public
Accounts and Public Administration Committee to ask that Committee to consider
leading on scrutiny of the Module 1 & 2 reports of the UK Covid Inquiry.
The Committee’s response will be bought to Business Committee for consideration
when received. The Llywydd proposed
that the Business Committee may wish to lay a short report containing its
proposed way forward once this has been agreed, and to hold a debate in Plenary
on a motion to note both that report and the Wales Covid-19 Inquiry Special Purpose
Committee’s report on its consideration of the UK Covid-19 Inquiry Module 1. |
