Three week timetable of Senedd Business

Minutes:

The Trefnydd informed Business Managers that the Deputy Minister for Arts, Sport and Tourism intends to write to the Chair of the Culture, Communications, Welsh Language, Sport, and International Relations Committee to request an extension for the Government’s response to the Committee’s report on the creative industries workforce, and whether, therefore the debate scheduled for 13 December could be postponed until the New Year.

 

The Business Committee agreed to await the Committee’s view before rescheduling business. Therefore, the following additions were agreed to the Three Week Timetable of Senedd Business:  

 

Wednesday 13 December 2023 -

  • Debate on a Member's Legislative Proposal (30 mins)
  • Debate on Culture, Communications, Welsh Language, Sport, and International Relations Committee report: Challenges facing the creative industry workforce in Wales (60 min)
  • Time allocated to the Welsh Conservatives (60 mins)
  • Short Debate: Peter Fox (Monmouth) (30 mins)

Minutes:

Business Committee considered the response from the Children, Young People and Education Committee and agreed the proposed timetable for the Residential Outdoor Education (Wales) Bill.

The Llywydd reminded Business Managers of the aspect of the guidance regarding Spokespeople Questions which states that spokespeople are expected to use their questions to pursue a broad theme, following some recent examples where the questions asked have covered multiple, largely distinct subjects.
